If you’re planning on hosting an MFG DAY event this year, it’s important that you register your event at www.mfgday.com. This will allow us to promote your event and give you access to tools we’ve created to help support your efforts.
Through a partnership we have with UCF, CareerSource Central Florida is placing candidates with STEM backgrounds in paid internships with local employers. This program will be ongoing for the next three years.
CareerSource Central Florida has partnered with the University of Central Florida to offer a unique work experience internship opportunity for job seekers (22 years and up) that have existing experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields.
Central Florida businesses in targeted occupations can apply to have an intern work for their company at no cost. Each of the participants selected will make up to $21 per hour and will work up to 40 hours per week for 8 weeks.
Employers must be located in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake or Sumter counties and cannot have laid off employees within the last 90 days.
